Halloween Pops

So I made some Jack-O-Lantern cakepops for the Rockland Mom's Trunk or Treat. Yes, a TRUNK or treat. All the moms gathered in a local parking lot, packed our trunks with candy and decorations, and had the kiddies do some trick or treating out of the trunks! Cute right? The kids loved the cakepops!!! A bunch of moms asked me what they were, they had never seen cakepops before. A couple of other moms asked me if I was starting a business and I said I was trying to. They thought it was a fantastic idea and were very encouraging. So I started getting the word out there about Mom & pops.

I ran into some issues making these pops. One problem was that the edible ink pen wasn't writing on the candy coating... so I ended up having to paint the faces on with food coloring gel. This didn't work so good either, because it didn't dry completely, and it smeared if it got rubbed accidentally. I didn't have time to find another option because I was in a rush to get these to the trunk or treat. It didn't matter though, the kids loved them anyway.

Hello there!

Hello, welcome to Mom & Pops. I make cakepops, cupcakes, and custom cakes! I'm just starting out with this as a business, and I'm planning to give out my first batch of cakepops tomorrow for my daughter's Trunk or Treat with all the kiddies from The Rockland Moms group. I joined this group a little over a year ago, when I moved to Rockland, NY. They were such nice mom's that welcomed me here, and many of the gals quickly became friends.

I've always had interests in baking and have been doing it for a long time, however since the birth of my daughter I've had many more celebrations to bake for, and therefore I thought I'd try making some "dough" out of it... pun intended. I've been an artist and creative person since forever! And creating art is what I truly love to do. I hope I can get some customers, make them happy, and fill their bellies with some sweet indulgence.
